Bar Clara was established in 2019 as an intimate cocktail bar specialising in modern seasonal cocktails. Ideally located at the top end of Melbourne’s Chinatown, across from Her Majesty’s Theatre, we are the perfect choice for romantic date nights, pre-theatre drinks and small bites, and much needed after-work libations.
Distinguished by our commitment to work with genuine seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques, our friendly bartenders create indulgent cocktail experiences that are guaranteed to impress, if not straight up captivate. So treat yourself! Follow the pink neon down the steps, pull up a plush green velvet seat, and let us take you on an adventure.

Sustainability
A portion of cocktail sales support tree planting through our partnership with the Koala Clancy Foundation. Every August we host members of the Melbourne hospitality industry to bus an hour west of Melbourne, where we plant trees, significantly improving waterways and habitat for the threatened You Yangs koala population as well as soaking up some sweet sweet carbon dioxide.
